Yin yoga is a gentle yoga. Ideal after a long day of work to release stress or after a day of skiing or hiking to relax muscle tension.

The practice focuses on connective tissues such as ligaments, bones, joints or cartilages. The important thing is not strengthening muscles or developing endurance, like many other styles of yoga. Yin yoga does not require or little muscle commitment.

 

It is an ideal practice in addition to dynamic activities Yin yoga consists of:

 

Long stretches; Combinations of slow and deep breaths; Postures that must be held for several minutes. This type of yoga makes it possible to work the whole body and mind.
